How to Juice Your Orange Juice

With all the “fruit” beverage choices available on grocery store shelves, it is often confusing to determine which ones are the most nutritious. Knowing how to read labels is important.

The front of the package identifies the name of the product: 100% Orange Juice, and tells you how the product is made: Pasteurized. Look for “100% juice” on the label to avoid beverages that may contain added sugar and fewer nutrients than 100% orange juice.

To distinguish 100% orange juice from products that contain very little real fruit juice, compare the percent of pure juice and ingredients.
